CLINICAL RESEARCH

While technology provides an evolving platform to improve Healthcare, research is a driving force behind validating the safety and efficacy of new treatments and protocols. Most clinics aren’t able to facilitate clinical research phase trials, because they have a very targeted patient population. Along with a small target population, most trials require a burdensome operational task load. This additional workload makes it hard for Doctor’s to implement in their practice because it takes so much focus away from patient care and day-to-day operations. One Life's focus is on broader research categories that allow higher patient volumes, which allows higher profitability for PI's (Principal Investigators or Providers). Our turnkey research solutions require minimal workload, making them much more sustainable.

Benefits of Clinical Research

  • Access to NEW approved medications, tests, and protocols.

  • Provide preventative alternatives to patients.

  • Increase practice profitability outside of insurance reimbursement.

  • Gain research notoriety, become published over your research, and build your resume.

  • Implement research that supports your specialty to maximize your patient volume.

  • Work with a support team that helps implement and manage your site’s research efforts.

  • Introduce new patients to your practice that will benefit from your class of research.

Physician Revenue

One Life has always believed in creating long-term, synergistic partnerships with our Medical practices. IPR (Independent Physician Revenue) is a One Life division whose sole focus is providing alternative care solutions that generate compliant revenue for Independent Physicians. With that said, an IPR solution will provide both preventative care options to patients, while allowing physicians to maximize their practice revenue. In today’s ever-changing healthcare system, Independent Physicians are experiencing burnout more than ever. This is causing many Physicians to sell their practices to Hospital systems and Investor groups for a couple of main reasons. Reimbursement amounts are dropping, while regulatory demands are rising.

Physicians in today’s healthcare system are required to do more documentation to prove why they are billing patients' insurance, but getting paid less. This is a completely different landscape than most private practice physicians are used to, compared to reimbursement requirements 10 years ago. Independent Physicians are vital to America’s healthcare system and economy in so many ways. We are intentionally striving to empower and renew this extremely valuable group of professionals.

All IPR solutions are provided with Billing/Revenue Cycle Management consultation and Customer support services, to reduce internal staff workload, while increasing reimbursement percentages. We aim to maximize the revenue potential of existing patient populations, as well as growing patient populations by marketing to new patients looking for preventative and holistic care solutions.

CCM (Chronic

Care Management)

An estimated 117 million adults have one or more chronic health conditions, and one in four adults has two or more chronic health conditions.

CCM is a care coordination service done outside of the regular office visit for patients with two or more chronic conditions expected to last at least 12 months. These services are typically done via telehealth and allow eligible practitioners to bill for at least 20 minutes or more of care coordination services per month.

With millions of Americans living with a chronic health conditions, By offering CCM services, we're able to deliver the coordinated care patients need and help patients stay on track to reach their goals by getting support between visits with PCP.

A key component of our CCM program is patient education, motivation, and accountability related to the 8 Controllable areas of health. We provide this in group settings and one on one.

RPM (Remote

Patient Monitoring)

RPM encourages patients to take control of their health while enabling providers to gather vital information between office visits. RPM allows us to monitor patients’ health information while increasing patient engagement from the comfort of their own homes, workplace, or wherever they may be.

RPM was created to help providers care for their patients outside of the office setting. Patients use connected devices at home – like heart monitors and blood pressure cuffs – that automatically upload their health data through the cellular network to a provider. Since 2020, Medicare has increased reimbursement for RPM to about $120 per patient per month when providers are enrolled in a qualified program.

With most reimbursements dropping, this increase proves the efficacy of RPM in terms of cost savings, due to reduced hospitalizations and disease exacerbations.

This is a vital component of our Care Management program, as it gives our patients peace of mind in knowing that they are not alone on their health journey.

The most common Disease states monitored in RPM

copd

Effective and timely oversight of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease helps detect exacerbations and leads to improvements in decision support and patient adherence to recommendations.

Diabetes

Periodic or ongoing measurement of blood sugar levels helps detect noteworthy changes in blood sugar levels.

Hypertension

Reviewing blood pressure data consistently leads to more timely recommendations and patient care plan modifications to decrease cardiac events.

Obesity

Ongoing monitoring and measuring of weight permit better, more targeted advice for lifestyle changes that can help stabilize or decrease weight.

MAP (Medication Adherence Program)

Patients take medications hoping to improve the quality of their health. Providers prescribe medication hoping to improve the symptom of the patient. Both have the right intention for the most part, however, the outcomes don't always align with the intent. Why is this? Patients don't take the medications as prescribed and physicians don't know how a patient's body will metabolize a specific medication without genetic testing.

Within our CCM program, we help manage medication regimens that contribute to both the well-being and safety of patients. We believe in providing a proactive medication approach for patients. MAP can help decrease adverse medication reactions, reduce patient non-compliance and implement new effective drug therapies and monitoring.

Advantages include

  • Improved patient adherence and utilization of medications,

  • Increased percentage of patients meeting their treatment goals (e.g., blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol),

  • Reduced drug duplication, harmful side effects, or interactions between medications, vitamins, and supplements,

  • Greater medication cost savings, and medical resource cost savings (e.g., fewer emergency department visits), due to more effective use of drug therapy.

The Importance of Medication Adherence

Research demonstrates that medication nonadherence has a significant negative impact on patient outcomes and overall healthcare costs.

OUR SERVICES

MAP services are based on comprehensive, personalized patient encounters that leverage pharmacists’ expertise in assessing complex drug regimens.

Advantages include

  • Conducting comprehensive medication reviews, including all prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional, and herbal supplements the patient is taking,

  • Providing education and counseling to patients on their medications – prescription and nonprescription products,

  • Detecting and solving adherence problems and promoting the appropriate use of medications,

  • Monitoring patient laboratory results and response to therapy,

  • Selecting, initiating, modifying, or administering medication therapy collaboratively with prescribers (e.g., cost-efficacy management; resolving drug therapy problems).

TELEHEALTH

With our vision of making preventative Healthcare more accessible nationwide, Telehealth allows us to accomplish this most efficiently, by removing the barrier of face-to-face in-person visits. While brick-and-mortar clinics absolutely have an important role in many cases, we believe the majority of medical encounters can be facilitated via telehealth, without limiting the quality of care.

Benefits of telehealth

Virtual visits are growing in popularity. Though in-person office visits may be necessary in certain cases, there are many benefits of telehealthcare.

  • Virtual visits ensure you get health care wherever you are located – at home, at work, or even in your car.

  • Virtual visits cut down on travel, time off from work, and the need for child care.

  • Virtual healthcare tools can shorten the wait for an appointment.

  • Increased access to specialists who are located far away from your hometown.

Care you can get with telehealth

  • Lab test or x-ray results,

  • Mental health treatment, including online therapy, counseling, and medication management,

  • Recurring conditions like migraines or urinary tract infections,

  • Skin conditions,

  • Prescription management,

  • Urgent care issues like colds, coughs, and stomach aches,

  • Post-surgical follow-up,

  • Annual Wellness Visits,

  • Physical therapy and occupational therapy,

  • Remote monitoring services that help you track your health goals and manage chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

HOW CAN STEM CELL THERAPY PROVIDE RELIEF FROM CHRONIC PAIN?

Wharton's Jelly is our First Choice when conventional Therapies Fail

What is Wharton’s Jelly?

Wharton’s Jelly is a gelatinous substance whose main function is to insulate and protect the umbilical cord in the womb.

Researchers, scientists, and doctors alike are so interested in Wharton’s Jelly because it contains some of the highest levels of mesenchymal stem cells in human anatomy. Before it was found to have these all-important stem cells, Wharton’s Jelly was considered postnatal waste.

The mesenchymal stem cells found in Wharton’s Jelly have not only the ability to transform into the cells you need most, but they harness the power of growth factors found in the umbilical cord to expedite the healing and rebuilding process and help you find lasting relief from pain.

Wound Care

Wound healing is a significant healthcare problem, posing a substantial burden on patients, their families, and the healthcare system. Existing treatment options are moderately effective and often fail to promote the closure of non-healing wounds in susceptible populations, such as aging and diabetic patients. Stem cell therapy has emerged as a promising treatment modality, with the ability to restore tissue to its pre-injured state. Of particular interest are mesenchymal stromal cells, which have been shown to accelerate wound healing by modulating the immune response and promoting angiogenesis.

Not only are wounds painful, but they can also be debilitating depending on the location and often become infected, leading to hospitalization and or amputation. Stem cells are an innovative and sustainable approach to healing wounds that resist other forms of treatment. Stem cells are safe for delicate tissues as well as patients with multiple health concerns, such as malnutrition.
